BEAUTY TIP: DO YOU SUFFER FROM A DRY, ITCHY SCALP?

Updated: Dec 29, 2020

Hi Babes! I am here to talk about what has worked for me this winter when it comes to a dry, itchy scalp. I have always had dry skin, but have noticed it more recently ever since putting in my hair extensions. After extensive research, here is what I have learned:

- If you have hair extensions, naturally they can block moisture causing your scalp to feel suffocated. This alone can cause severe itchiness & dandruff.

- Treat your hair extensions like your normal hair. Make sure to shampoo at the roots of your hair & wash it out thoroughly. If you don't, it causes build up on your scalp which results in itchiness & irritation.

- Use a HAIR MASK! If you have hair extensions, you will want to use the hair mask AFTER you remove them to give your scalp a breather and restore the moisture. If you don't have extensions - by all means - DO A HAIR MASK ONE TO TWO TIMES A MONTH. It will be a game changer. I have linked below some favorites I have used in the past that have helped me!

- APPLE CIDER VINEGAR w/ warm water. Although I CANNOT STAND the smell of Apple Cider Vinegar, this has helped me the most with & without extensions!

According to Healthline.com:

Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial , anti-inflammatory, and antifungal properties. It can help reduce itching caused by dry skin. Try diluting apple cider vinegar in warm water and using it as a rinse after shampooing to alleviate dandruff and an itchy scalp.

- TPH by TARAJI Master Cleanse Scalp Treatment Wash - 8 fl oz
