TAKING A LOOK BACK ON 2020

Hi Babes! I cannot believe New Years Eve is tomorrow... Where has this year gone? I am SO READY to ring in 2021 but I do have some hesitations. Will 2021 go better or worse? Could it get any worse than this past year? I have so many questions & mixed emotions about it. But, behind all the negatives, there are some positives (I found for myself) that I will share below because... we don't need any more negative energy!!

Positives of 2020:

- 2020 has allowed me to spend SO much more time with family than I have in the past 5 years of living in New York City. I have gained a new appreciation for it & have realized how important it is during this time. I am so thankful my family & friends are safe & healthy. However, I know that is not the case for everyone. If you have lost a loved one during this time, my thoughts & prayers are with you <3 Please know you are not alone & life will get better.. I promise!

- 2020 has taught me to appreciate down time. Living in New York City, I was constantly going, going & going. Between my full-time job during the week, heading to happy hours with co-workers or friends after work, then enjoying my social life on the weekends - I didn't know what down time was. Although 2020 has been a constant YEAR of down time... I have learned to cope with it & enjoy it for what it is.

- 2020 has allowed me to take the time to self-reflect. It has allowed me to think about what's really important in my life & to get rid of anything that brings negativity. These times more than ever, we need to seek what brings us happiness. Is it a walk outside, is it exercising, is it clean eating, is it eating whatever the heck you want to eat, is it catching up with a friend or family member over zoom, is it having a drink after a long day, is it journaling or mediation..Whatever it may be, do it for you! Now more than ever is the time to just focus on yourself & your happiness.

- 2020 has taught me to SAVE my money. Living in New York City, paying rent, while trying to enjoy your life with $20 vodka sodas on the weekends & shopping in Soho..their honestly was little to no room for saving & that's the damn honest truth! Since moving out the city (temporarily during Covid), I have been able to save and ENJOY saving.

- 2020 has allowed me to take a step back & think about what I really want to do in the future. Is what I am currently doing making me happy? Is there growth? What career will honestly make me the happiest & where I'll enjoy going to work every day once things go back to normal? After turning down a remote job opportunity in NYC, I have finally figured out which career path I want to pursue & I will be excited to let y'all know in 2021, so stay tuned!

- 2020 brought my small business, Fashion Row Apparel, to life! I have always, always, always wanted to have my own clothing brand. It was and still is my biggest dream. During the peak of COVID, when the tie dye trend came back, I decided to jump on it and RUN with it. I never imagined starting a small business with tie dye apparel but hey, there was a calling so here I am & I am so thankful I did! Tie dye is HUGE right now & with everyone working & staying home, everyone needs cute loungewear to feel confident & put together, even if you haven't showered in days :) Thank you to everyone who has showed support! This small business wouldn't be here today without you all. You can check out my website linked at the top of the HOME page called "Fashion Row".

- 2020 has allowed me to rekindle friendships & meet new people. Who would have thought?! The power of social media is so strong & I am thankful to have these platforms to stay connected during this time.

These are just a few positives I have found from this past year. There are so many more! I would love to hear your thoughts & feelings going into 2021. Are you excited, nervous, sad.. Let's Chat! Xx
